the next submission

You’d think I’d learn, but no. Once again, I’ve sent off my fragile little phrase formations into the big, bad world to be judged by people who are far better at putting words together than I.

I’ve let three poems go …. this time, for a contest whose entry fee includes the annual edition of the magazine. [see link above]

I let a few poems go a while back to another magazine and received a nice little ‘thanks, but not this time – please submit again!’ form emails. [sigh] I still love the stuff they print, so I won’t hold it against them.

Now, I only have to wait until June for the results. Oh, yeah – that’s right – the same June that is the ETA of babyQ. Now, how’s that for planning. Pre-occupation: an easy way to deal with please-f*ck-offs differing opinions on my poetic skills.
