oblivion

Until this morning, I was under the same impression that I was yesterday morning: two people had died in some sort of domestic dispute at a college in the States.

So, I blog about singing.

Today, there are 32 people dead [including one Canadian], several injured and, as of 11am this morning, potentially two gunmen involved at Virginia Tech. What the hell. And, not only that [as though that weren’t enough], I find this page at the CBC with a history of school shootings listed from 1996.

I don’t have anything that seems worthy of saying to this. I could rant about how this could have happened or hypothesize why but, at the end of it all, it still happened. At least one person was really messed up and no one knew – or knew enough – to help.

I think that I will now go watch my daughter as she sleeps peacefully.
