good thing I can’t smell a thing, or I’d’ve been completely disgusted

I have The Cold. That didn’t stop me from going into work this afternoon, but the Magpie’s cold kept me home with her this morning. We went the the Shtores, to Star-BUCKS where we had MamaCoughee and shared a Muffan. We went and got Dah Foo(d) from the vets.

Then, we came home and waited for Mr.Q who was, apparently having a DadaNap upstairs and not really at work. Even when I phoned him at work, he was informed that he was, in actuality: Upstairs, DadaNap. But finally, Dada woke up came home to take over. We tried to eat a quick lunch, but all the activity of the morning had worn the little girl out, so we went upstairs for BabyNap. As soon as we set foot in her room, BabyNap was delayed by sudden and massive BabyPuking.

On Mama. Who was supposed to leave for work. Like, right then.

It came down to me or the carpet and, really, I’m easier to clean. So, the Magpie had a bath, I had a shower and put in a load of laundry and then headed for the door.

After a big nap and a little supper, there has been no recurrence of The Baby Cold that Turned Into a Stomach Virus. Now, as long as my cold stays in my head, we’ll all be fine.
